Accountant/Office Manager – Park Ridge, NJ – To $100k d/o/e

This client needs your accounting and leadership expertise!

Responsibilities include:
•              Ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions.

  • Maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies.
  • Reviews bank reconciliations and journal entries
    •              Maintains and reconciles fixed assets schedules, prepaid and accrued expenses, intercompany transactions.
  • Assists with various inventory account reconciliations by researching and adjusting discrepancies.
    •              Reviews Accounts Payable transactions to ensure accuracy of General Ledger account.
    •              Assist with an annual audit by analyzing and scheduling general ledger accounts and providing information for external auditors.
  • Provides ad hoc support to others as projects arise within the department

Requirements include:
•              Accounting Degree and 5+ years of staff accountant experience
•              Above average proficiency with Microsoft Excel, advance skills in pivot tables and v-lookup
•              Must have in-depth General Ledger knowledge
•              Strong analytical and data gathering skills
•              Experience with Inventory and Cost accounting concepts
•              Comfort dealing with ambiguity and manipulation of large amounts of data
•              Self-starter who can learn quickly and motivate others.
•              Be able to reach month end and day-to-day deadlines in a timely manner
•              Independently manage multiple projects simultaneously
•              Experience working in a small size business environment
•              Experience with e-commerce, inventory and the apparel industry preferred.
