BSA Analyst*

BSA Analyst  – Newark, NJ *

Responsibilities include:

  • Follow procedures as documented in the BSA Program
  • Review and File Currency Transaction Reports as required by FinCen
  • Review and clear OFAC alerts generated by the Bank’s systems
  • Access, review, and complete 314 (A) screening requests
  • Review wire transaction report on a quarterly basis for unusual or suspicious activity
  • Review monetary instrument log on a monthly basis for unusual or suspicious activity
  • Review and File Currency Transaction Reports as required by FinCen Prepare and complete daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly BSA monitoring reports
  • Complete and document daily due diligence research on existing and prospective Bank clients• Prepare trend analysis reports to monitor BSA risk metrics
  • Assist with and/or perform other duties as assigned
  • Maintain effective team oriented working relationships
  • Maintain a positive attitude and flexibility
  • Take initiative and demonstrate conscientiousness toward responsibilities.

Requirements include:

  • BA Degree in Business, Accounting or any combination of education, training, and experience
  • Knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act and Anti Money Laundering regulations including OFAC regulations and USA PATRIOT Act.
  • Experienced usage in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong attention to detail and strong organizational/time-management skills

  • Fundamental knowledge of general banking principles, philosophies, and operations
  • Ability to effectively complete multiple projects simultaneously, managing time
  • Ability to effectively work unsupervised
  • Must possess strong verbal and written communication
  • Must have business writing experience
  • Ability to be motivating and provide leadership towards others
  • Must be able to work well under pressure, while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Additional training in: OFAC Regulations, USA PATRIOT Act, Customer Identification Program, Know Your  Customer, FinCen 314 (A) requirements, FinCen 314 (B) requirements, Suspicious  Activity Monitoring, FFIEC BSA requirements
